Adgitize is now offering subject matter targeting in addition to niche targeting. In other words, you can opt to have your ads show only in blogs of a specific niche/topic.

You can also target both niche and geography.

Interesting.

Adgitize Offers Geographical Targeting

I just noticed something new over at Adgitize.

They are now offering geographical targeting options for an additional 3 dollars a month.  I really like this:

My strength and fitness blog is more for an American audience (at least, that's where the sales come from.

My personal blog (kuyakevin.com) is more for the Philippines (you can target Southeast Asia). 

I'm going to give geographical targeting a try and see what happens.

Adgitize is Back

Seems Adgitize is back online.  I'm still having some trouble editing/updating my ad information.  Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Adgitize Fail

A few hours ago I wrote a post about Adgitize prices rolling back to 14 dollars a month.  Ironically, their website and service went down soon after.  Not sure what is going on, but it has been down for about half a day now.  Hopefully they'll get things up and running again.  This is the first time I can remember this happening.

A few days ago I realized the Adgitize prices were lower when I renewed my ads. Today I finally took tome to look over the Adgitize blog and realized prices have dropped back to 14 bucks a month. You just can't beat 50 cents a day for the number of impressions Adgitize gives you.

Adgitize Prices Go Up

OK, I just noticed Adgitize has raised prices to 24 dollars a month. 

I'm OK with this.  Their service is growing, so I expect prices to go up as demand goes up--simple economics.  The increased prices will also result in more earnings for Adgitize members (since profits are shared among the bloggers based on points earned). 

And let's be real--under a dollar a day is dirt-cheap advertising for the number of impressions you get.  

Entrecard and Adgitize: Traffic is Traffic

More thoughts on Entrecard and Adgitize.

One criticism of banner exchange programs (such as EC and Adgitize) is that members drop by your blog only to earn click credits.  I do understand this concern.  But here's the way I see it:

*For a brand new (or obscure) blogger, any form of traffic is better than getting just a handful of hits a day.

*If someone visits my blog and has no incentive to stay, that's my fault--something is lacking in my content.

In other words, EC and Adgitize do a pretty decent job of bringing extra traffic to your website.  But high quality content is what will keep readers there, and that is your responsibility.

Another Perk to Adgitize: More Entrecard Drops

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems my Entrecard drops have gone up since I started running Adgitize campaigns.  I think it's because many bloggers like to click both Adgitize and EC (the proverbial two birds with one stone).  Anyone else noticed this?

My First Adgitize Payment

I've officially received my first payment from Adgitize:

Not huge money, but Adgitize never claims to send big paychecks--it's more of an advertising network with perks. The main benefit to Adgitize is inexpensive banner advertising.

Having said that, it's always nice to earn a few bucks from my blogs--nice to see some of my investment coming back from the very service I advertised with.

Adgitize Review (Follow-Up)

About a month ago I started using Adgitize.  I decided to run an advertising campaign, figuring 14 bucks for a month is not a bad deal.  It turned out to be a great deal--the first 30 days aren't finished, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up with over 1,000 hits from the campaign.  From a cost-per-click perspective, that's under 2 cents per click--not bad!  I've already renewed the ad for another 30 days. 

My recommendation for Adgitize still stands.

Adgitize

I joined Adgitize yesterday. I read about this program a few weeks ago, but there was one thing I didn't like: you couldn't control who advertised on your blog. Note the past tense--that has changed now, and you have the option of rejecting certain ads.

Adgitize is kind of like Entrecard, except you can earn money through it (not just credits).  You can also put more than one ad on your blog, which allows you to double (or triple, or quadruple) your credits earned--very helpful for lower traffic blogs. 

I went ahead and paid for a month's worth of advertising for one of my blogs.  It gave me results pretty quickly.  Here's a picture of my statcounter stats:

I'm really interested to see how this turns out.  I'll write a more thorough review after a few weeks, but so far, so good!  It was really simple to sign up and get their codes.
